What should I do if the garment steamer breaks down?

2024-05-17

If your garment steamer is malfunctioning, here are a few steps you can try to solve the problem:

Check the power supply and plug: Make sure the steamer's power cord plug is properly connected to the outlet and the power switch is on. You can try unplugging and plugging it back in to ensure a good power connection.

Check the water level in the water tank: If your garment steamer is a steam steamer, check whether the water level in the water tank is sufficient. If the water level is too low, the steamer may not produce enough steam. Add appropriate amount of clean water to the water tank as needed.

Clean the nozzle or iron head: The nozzle or iron head of the garment steamer may be clogged, preventing the steam from ejecting properly. After making sure the garment steamer is powered off and cool, use a soft-bristled brush or cotton swab to gently clean the nozzle or iron head holes to remove accumulated scale or dirt.

Check the safety devices: The garment steamer itself has safety devices, such as overheating protection or automatic shutdown function. If the garment steamer overheats or is used for too long, these safety devices may be triggered and cause the machine to stop working. Wait for the garment steamer to cool down before trying to use it again.

Contact after-sales service: If none of the above methods solve the problem, it is recommended to contact the after-sales service or manufacturer of the garment steamer for further troubleshooting or repair. They can provide professional technical support and repair suggestions.
